Flights
There are flights every day from Launceston to Flinders Island, and flights every second day from Melbourne (Essendon) and Hobart. To make things easier we have made group bookings for the flights to the island - you will receive a 10% discount on the below. Simply call up Cara at Sharp Airlines on 1300 55 66 94 and let her know you are booking for the Harrison Litera wedding. If you are bringing the kiddo’s please give us a buzz prior to booking so we can release some of the seats for kids’ tickets (they’re cheaper!)

There are several options for flights to and from Launceston, Melbourne and Hobart at different times / days which you are welcome to book if you’d like to spend a few extra days either side. We have not pre-booked return flights for this reason, and these will be subject to availability, so make sure you get in early to make your bookings! You can choose and book your return flight over the phone when you select your flight to the island. Note luggage is 21kgs per person
Flight Schedule
Transport:
The best way to get around the island is by car. Killiecrankie is just 30mins north of Whitemark and the Airport. Some smaller roads are dirt, and keep an eye out for the wildlife!
Booked cars will be waiting in the airport carpark for you when you arrive.
Multiple options for car hire have been held by the lovely folk at Flinders Island Car Rentals, including some mini vans and people movers if you’re a small group!

Accommodation:
We have pre-arranged several beach houses from Whitemark up to Killiecrankie. On average most accommodation is around $120 per person, per night.
For ease we will allocate our beautiful guests to beautiful houses and provide this information in Direct Messages once we have RSVPs. Please get in touch if you do not receive this information or would like to arrange your own
Supplies:
The wonderful folk at On Island Time are providing their ‘Larder’ offering to all our guests. Pre-order some incredible local island produce and it will be waiting for you to pick up at the Flinders Wharf on arrival!
The Larder
Walkers Supermarket (IGA) in Whitemark is the place to stock up on arrival to the island. Flinders Island Quality Meats and Flinders Island Bakery – also in Whitemark, are worth a stop too! All within a stone’s throw of each other. Check their opening hours, the IGA is closed on Saturday arvo and Sundays. We suggest doing a big shop to last your stay, so you’re not having to trip in and out of Whitemark!
There is a Pharmacy, a small selection of stores, and the Interstate Hotel has a selection of take away booze. If there is anything specific you need, we would suggest to bring it with you
The Welcome will be fully catered food and drink. BBQ essentials and some drinks will also be provided for the Recovery – BYO any specific requirements, and a beer or two (depending on how you’re feeling!)
